Ascendis may go private, but don't get excited. Brait is letting Ethos down. Grand Parade is focused on gaming. Old Mutual on the wrong end of savings culture. Rebosis sells properties at a discount. York gives tighter guidance. Wesizwe is in serious trouble.

Bytes and Vukile released encouraging financial updates. Equites and Grindrod Shipping are busy with corporate deals. Nampak successfully raised capital. AngloGold is now in New York. Investec fixed a disclosure whoopsie.

There's no interim dividend at Gemfields. Investec is growing, but especially in the UK. Life renewed its cautionary. Quantum is loss-making. Texton makes progress.
