Grindrod, Motus and Super Group led the industrials news for the day, with important numbers coming in from RCL Foods as well. Redefine released a pre-close presentation. There's very bad news at Sasfin.

Ghost Bites (ArcelorMittal | Gemfields | MAS | Truworths | York Timber)

ArcelorMittal's profits were smashed. Truworths can be thankful for the UK business. York TImber is acquiring farms from Sappi. MAS released detailed balance sheet thinking. Gemfields sounds bullish.

AB InBev and Mondi are both wrapping up their exits of Russia, but with very different economic outcomes. MTN Nigeria has to act on unregistered SIM cards soon.

Adcorp is facing margin pressure. enX thinks it can sell Eqstra within the next year. Glencore has affirmed production guidance for most of its commodities. MTN is really struggling in Nigeria. OUTsurance increased its stake in Australia.

It's a day of extremes. Master Drilling is doing well in the mining industry and Sibanye isn't. Nampak needs money from shareholders whereas Transpaco is rewarding shareholders. Super Group released great numbers. Thungela closed the Aussie deal.

It was a big day in the paper and packaging sectors, with numbers from three major players: Mondi, Mpact and Sappi. We also saw results from AB InBev and South Ocean, with ongoing labour issues at Wesizwe.
