Ghost Bites (Aveng | Clientèle | Gemfields | Mr Price | Nedbank | Octodec | Sasol | SPAR)

There are no easy wins at Sasol, but there are no wins whatsoever at SPAR. Mr Price is pushing ahead with the NKD deal, while Nedbank's NCBA deal in Kenya is making progress. Aveng has many contracts to try and resolve. Gemfields is still facing market pressure in rubies. Octodec has a tricky property portfolio to run. Finally, Clientèle's numbers are complex, but trending higher.

Ghost Bites (Araxi | Aveng | DRDGOLD | Glencore | Grindrod | Merafe | Pan African Resources | Sibanye-Stillwater | Transpaco)

Araxi announced the R1 billion acquisition of Pay@. Grindrod's core business is performing well. DRDGOLD, Glencore, Pan African Resources and Sibanye-Stillwater brought us a busy day of mining results. Merafe has been given a temporary lifeline by Eskom. Transpaco is struggling, while Aveng is at least slightly in the green now on HEPS.

Ghost Bites (Aveng | Ninety One)

Aveng has announced a change in top management, with the CEO leaving the group at the end of January 2026. Ninety One's AUM has continued its positive trajectory.

Ghost Bites (Mr Price | NEPI Rockcastle)

Mr Price isn't backing off on the NKD deal, despite the absolute hatred for the transaction from the market. NEPI's pre-close update shows the importance of looking at per-share growth.

Ghost Bites (Aveng | British American Tobacco | Gemfields | RMB Holdings | Schroder European Real Estate | Stor-Age | Trematon)

Stor-Age raised capital at a premium to NAV. Gemfields looks brighter. Aveng won't be selling McConnell Dowell for now at least. British American Tobacco unlocked over R7 billion in cash. RMB Holdings received an expression of interest from Atterbury. Reality has hit at Trematon. Schroder European Real Estate is a struggle.

Ghost Bites (Absa | Aveng | CA Sales | MTN | Northam Platinum | Orion Minerals | Thungela)

Absa's earnings were boosted by the credit loss ratio. MTN punters took profit on Monday, but why? Thungela's commitment to its dividend is incredible. CA Sales flagged strong earnings, Northam Platinum had a rough time with Eland and Aveng is an ugly story in Australia. Orion Minerals raised over R20 million from retail investors.

Ghost Bites (African Rainbow Minerals | Aveng | MAS | Nedbank | Sibanye-Stillwater | STADIO | Vodacom – Remgro)

The Prime Kapital parties almost have control of MAS. STADIO is growing strongly. Nedbank is selling Ecobank. Sibanye's earnings are up 19x year-on-year. Aveng's numbers are deeply in the red. African Rainbow Minerals bought more of Surge Copper. Vodacom and Remgro are nearly there with the fibre deal.
