It's all eyes on the second half at Valterra Platinum. Sea Harvest's numbers are even better than previously guided. Spear REIT announced another acquisition. Accelerate Property Fund received reasonable support for the rights offer.

The take-private bid for Adcock Ingram is juicy to say the least. Mr Price had a tough June but a resilient quarter overall. MultiChoice got the green light for the Canal+ deal. AECI, Karooooo, Northam Platinum and Vodacom released financial updates. Santam is growing offshore, while Spear REIT sticks to the Western Cape.

Ghost Bites (BHP | Hyprop – MAS | Quantum Foods | Valterra Platinum | Vodacom – Remgro)

Hyprop has put in a conditional offer to MAS shareholders. Vodacom and Remgro tweaked the terms of the fibre deal. BHP's production is strong, but iron ore prices are weak. Valterra Platinum's production ruined the first half numbers. Quantum Foods has had some shareholder register developments.

Attacq is on track for full-year guidance. Nedbank had a soft start to the year. Grindrod is tough to gauge at the moment. Capital Appreciation and Sephaku have positive stories. Sirius Real Estate had no trouble raising debt funding.
