Ghost Bites (Mantengu | Northam Platinum | Purple Group | Schroder European Real Estate | Spear REIT)

Purple's Telescope AI deal is a good example of a vertical integration - at a price. In mining, Northam Platinum released strong production numbers, while Mantengu may have locked in a profit on the iron beneficiation plant. In property, Spear REIT sold two properties for a tidy profit, but it's time to put Schroder European Real Estate out of its misery.

Ghost Bites (Bank ratings upgrades | Mantengu | MAS | Oando)

Several SA banks have enjoyed a ratings upgrade from Fitch. A new bidder has emerged for Mantengu's Blue Ridge Platinum. PKMI's bid for MAS shares ended in a puff of smoke and not much else. Oando is a vertically integrated energy company that nobody talks about.

Ghost Bites (Hudaco | Optasia | Supermarket Income REIT)

Hudaco's consumer-related products segment boosted the interim period. There are signs of life at Optasia, but I'm waiting for detailed results. Supermarket Income REIT has refinanced £445 million in debt.

Ghost Bites (Remgro | South32)

South32 is getting out of the aluminium sector - and the market really likes the deal. Remgro has concluded the Mediclinic restructure.
