Ghost Bites
Ghost Bites (AECI | Jubilee Metals | Lighthouse Properties | Merafe | Northam Platinum | Powerfleet | Sabvest)
The market didn't like the AECI results. Conversely, Lighthouse Properties is doing brilliantly, as are mining duo Merafe and Northam Platinum. Sabvest has announced a bolt-on deal at ITL. Jubilee Metals wants to sell its Large Waste Project. Powerfleet is still loss-making.

Ghost Bites (Mantengu | Northam Platinum | Purple Group | Schroder European Real Estate | Spear REIT)
Purple's Telescope AI deal is a good example of a vertical integration - at a price. In mining, Northam Platinum released strong production numbers, while Mantengu may have locked in a profit on the iron beneficiation plant. In property, Spear REIT sold two properties for a tidy profit, but it's time to put Schroder European Real Estate out of its misery.

Ghost Bites (MTN Rwanda | Resilient REIT | Sanlam | Standard Bank | Woolworths)
Growth in Africa is visible at Standard Bank and MTN Rwanda. Woolworths has a new CEO - and it's an internal appointment this time. Resilient REIT achieved double-digit dividend growth. Sanlam's results are complex.

Ghost Bites (Brait | Merafe | MTN Nigeria | Northam Platinum | Vukile Property Fund)
MTN Nigeria had a great year in 2025, but nothing comes close to the positive swing at Northam Platinum. Vukile is acquiring its first property in Madrid. Brait has sold R1 billion worth of shares in Premier. Merafe's 2025 numbers were horrible, as is to be expected when smelters were gathering dust.

Ghost Bites (Anglo American | AngloGold | Dis-Chem | enX | Sibanye-Stillwater | Spar)
Dis-Chem is focusing on market share gains and the benefits of its rewards programme. Spar can only dream of that world, as they now scramble to find a new CEO. Major mining updates came in from Anglo American, AngloGold and Sibanye-Stillwater. enX is selling the rest of the WAI business to Trichem.

Ghost Bites (Bidvest | DRDGOLD | Hyprop | Metair | Northam Platinum | Orion | Pick n Pay | RMB Holdings | Vukile Property...
Pick n Pay looks more like a basket case by the day, with losses increasing rather than improving. RMB Holdings announced an offer by the Atterbury consortium. Vukile Property Fund's local festive numbers look good. Other updates came in from Bidvest, DRDGOLD, Hyprop, Metair, Northam Platinum and Orion Minerals.
