Ghost Bites (African Rainbow Minerals | Blu Label – Cell C | Gold Fields | Vodacom)

Cell C has announced its intention to list on the JSE, with Blu Label getting more restructuring steps out the way. Vodacom has settled the Please Call Me matter for an undisclosed sum. Gold Fields is taking advantage of high gold prices. African Rainbow Minerals' Beeshoek Iron Ore Mine is a casualty of ArcelorMittal.

Ghost Bites (Africa Bitcoin Corporation | Finbond | Gemfields | Heriot REIT | Prosus – Naspers | Texton)

Prosus is acquiring La Centrale in France, marking OLX's entry into Western European classifieds. Gemfields will be more cautious going forwards. Finbond announced an interesting deal. Heriot and Texton released numbers in the property sector. Africa Bitcoin Corporation is raising capital for ACOF as well now.

Ghost Bites (ADvTECH | Clientele | Fairvest | Harmony | Hulamin | Italtile | Momentum | Sasol)

Fairvest's capital raise is a sign of frothiness creeping back into the property sector. ADvTECH, Clientele and Momentum released excellent numbers. Sasol's debt reduction and free cash flow got the market excited. Harmony didn't capitalise on gold price opportunities. Italtile posted resilient numbers, while Hulamin's performance was poor.

Ghost Bites (Adcock Ingram | Gold Fields | Grindrod | Hulamin | MTN Zakhele Futhi)

Gold Fields is printing cash. Grindrod needs better numbers in Logistics. Hulamin needs better numbers everywhere. Adcock Ingram could delist later this year. MTN Zakhele Futhi estimates a residual value of R4 per share.

MAS shareholders have a Prime Kapital offer to chew on. Gold Fields' HEPS more than tripled, but Impala Platinum's earnings dropped. Mpact needs a big second half. Weaver Fintech is flying. FirstRand's share price overhang seems to be gone. MultiChoice is restructuring Phuthuma Nathi's stake.
