Ghost Bites (Clientèle | Glencore | Merafe | MTN | Santova)

Dividend darling Clientèle wants to delist. Glencore is telling a bullish story after Q1, with MTN Nigeria also enjoying the current oil situation. Merafe should have an answer on the electricity tariffs by June. Santova clawed back a lot of lost ground in the second half of the year.

Ghost Bites (Anglo American | CMH | Kumba Iron Ore | Merafe)

CMH is a great example of how to overcome disruption. Anglo American is a mixed bag, with diamonds going from bad to worse. Kumba Iron Ore is doing well, but remains at the mercy of Transnet. Merafe's smelter operations were negligible in the latest quarter.

Ghost Bites (Merafe | Optasia)

There's hope for Merafe, with Eskom agreeing to terms and conditions for the proposed special electricity tariff. Optasia has locked in significant debt funding to support its growth ambitions over the next few years.

Ghost Bites (African Rainbow Minerals | Datatec | Emira | Hyprop | Jubilee Metals | Master Drilling | RCL Foods | Remgro | Sephaku...

RCL Foods is betting on pets. Remgro is going ahead with the Mediclinic deal. Datatec is growing strongly. In property, we saw news from Emira and Hyprop. African Rainbow Minerals is investing further in copper, while Jubilee's copper EBITDA has at least swung positive. Master Drilling had a reasonable year. Sephaku Holdings needs more infrastructure spend to come through.

Ghost Bites (MTN | Optasia | South32 | Sun International)

MTN has over 300 million customers, a great growth story, and sadly a headache in Iran. Optasia's numbers are good, but what is this related party deal? Sun International has performed very well vs. the market. South32's Mozal Aluminium smelter is on care and maintenance.

Ghost Bites (AVI | Choppies | Harmony Gold | Mpact | Pan African Resources | Santam | Southern Sun | Merafe | Sun International)

A busy day of earnings updates saw AVI, Mpact, Santam and Sun International give us a view on primarily the South African economy. Choppies has problems in Botswana. Harmony Gold gave an idea of earnings growth, while Pan African Resources is pressing forward in Australia. Southern Sun's deal for the Sandton properties has fallen through.

Ghost Bites (Bidvest | Clientèle | Italtile | JSE | Libstar | Merafe | MTN | RCL Foods | Thungela)

RCL Foods is navigating a bitter situation in sugar. Bidvest is building a hygiene giant. Italtile and Thungela are struggling, while the JSE and MTN are flying. Clientèle's business is showing encouraging signs. Merafe is kicking the can down the road.

Ghost Bites (Brait | Merafe | MTN Nigeria | Northam Platinum | Vukile Property Fund)

MTN Nigeria had a great year in 2025, but nothing comes close to the positive swing at Northam Platinum. Vukile is acquiring its first property in Madrid. Brait has sold R1 billion worth of shares in Premier. Merafe's 2025 numbers were horrible, as is to be expected when smelters were gathering dust.
