Ghost Bites (Equites Property Fund | KAL Group | Karooooo | NEPI Rockcastle | Reunert | Tharisa)

Equites Property Fund and NEPI Rockcastle are good reminders of the strength of REITs. KAL Group is one of the last "cheap" South African assets. Karooooo upset the market with its margins this year, but they are playing the long game. Reunert has been dragged down by its cables business. Tharisa's earnings have skyrocketed.

Altron, Datatec, Gold Fields, Lesaka Technologies and Southern Sun all have good news stories to tell. The same certainly can't be said for Sappi, where shareholders are facing disaster. At Life Healthcare, the latest period was a disappointment for the market.

Ghost Bites (MTN Rwanda | Resilient REIT | Sanlam | Standard Bank | Woolworths)

Ghost Bites (Lesaka Technologies | Motus | Purple Group | SA Corporate Real Estate | Sappi | Sibanye-Stillwater | Transpaco | Truworths | Vodacom)

Lesaka Technologies off to a good start in FY26. Sappi is suffering great pain, but at least they acknowledge it - unlike Truworths. Purple Group is charging up the J-curve. Sibanye-Stillwater is loving life, while Motus is also adapting well. Vodacom Please Call Me looks to be around R540 million. We saw deal news at Transpaco and SA Corporate Real Estate as well.

Ghost Bites (ADvTECH | Blue Label Telecoms | Metair | MTN | RCL Foods | Sappi | The Foschini Group)

The market didn't like The Foschini Group's update, but Metair and MTN were a hit. RCL Foods had a rough second half. Sappi remains a rollercoaster ride. ADvTECH is buying another school. Blue Label is playing its cards close to its chest.

GHOST BITES (AngloGold | Barloworld | Collins Property Group | Mantengu Mining | Montauk Renewables | Newpark REIT | Old Mutual | Raubex |...

AngloGold's profits are much higher and Sibanye is smiling as well. The offer for Barloworld needs more acceptances. Mantengu Mining has gone nuclear on share manipulation allegations. Raubex is the subject of whistleblower allegations. There's property news from Collins and Newpark. Old Mutual has announced their new CEO.

GHOST BITES (British American Tobacco | Clicks | Copper 360 | Insimbi | Jubilee Metals | PSG Financial Services)

Clicks and PSG Financial Services both released excellent numbers. British American Tobacco reaffirmed guidance. Copper 360's balance sheet is improving. Jubilee's South African business is performing well. Insimbi is now loss-making.
