Clicks and PSG Financial Services both released excellent numbers. British American Tobacco reaffirmed guidance. Copper 360's balance sheet is improving. Jubilee's South African business is performing well. Insimbi is now loss-making.

Accelerate has sold its stake in Portside - and at a modest discount to NAV. Life Healthcare shareholders gave a resounding approval to the LMI disposal.

AVI remains the operating leverage champion. Sun International had a great end to 2024. Mpact's Plastics business had an ugly year and so did Merafe. Texton is sitting on quite a cash pile. Suitors are circling Assura - including Primary Health Properties.

Attacq saw the two-pot benefit at the end of 2024. Woolworths didn't, with another poor apparel performance. Shoprite remains a growth juggernaut. AVI extracted profit growth from muted revenue growth. Rainbow Chicken's profits are much higher. Tiger sold out of Chile. Renergen issued shares at depressed prices.

MultiChoice released terrible numbers. In contract, the likes of AVI, Bidcorp, Premier, Quantum and Santam are navigating difficult conditions successfully. Mantengu Mining is ramping up. Metair is a step closer to getting out of Turkey. Powerfleet's cost savings are paying off.

Astral Foods and Lewis have a much better story to tell. Tiger Brands only has modest profit growth, but that's still better than Santova coming off the boil. Impala Platinum's production fell in the first quarter.

Dis-Chem released excellent results. The Comp Comm wants to prohibit Sun International's Peermont deal. FirstRand has legal issues in the UK, while TFG has bought another business there. Look out for BHP, Finbond, Mondi and Sibanye as well.

AB InBev, Grindrod and Nampak announced major deals, while Zeder completed one. EOH and Famous Brands released results. Harmony is happy to see the back of a legacy contract.
