Ghost Bites (Brait | Merafe | MTN Nigeria | Northam Platinum | Vukile Property Fund)
MTN Nigeria had a great year in 2025, but nothing comes close to the positive swing at Northam Platinum. Vukile is acquiring its first property in Madrid. Brait has sold R1 billion worth of shares in Premier. Merafe's 2025 numbers were horrible, as is to be expected when smelters were gathering dust.

Ghost Bites (AECI | Bidcorp | Blu Label | Fortress Real Estate | Hammerson | Motus | Mustek | Shaftesbury | Valterra Platinum)
A busy day of earnings news saw financials come in from AECI, Bidcorp, Blu Label, Hammerson, Motus, Mustek, Shaftesbury and Valterra Platinum. Fortress Real Estate gave shareholders a precise view of distributable income, with more details to follow.

Ghost Bites (Harmony Gold | Invicta | Netcare | Oceana | PPC | Prosus – Naspers | Stefanutti Stocks)
Prosus - Naspers is growing strongly, with all eyes on the Just Eat Takeaway.com integration. PPC's turnaround strategy is working incredibly well. Invicta and Netcare both took advantage of share buybacks. Oceana was dragged down by fish oil prices. Harmony Gold is pushing further into copper. Stefanutti Stocks has settled with Eskom.

Ghost Bites (Exemplar REITail | Octodec | Omnia | PPC | Raubex | Shoprite | Sibanye-Stillwater | Telkom | Tiger Brands | Vodacom)
In the grocery sector, we saw Shoprite with a quarterly update and Tiger Brands with a bullish narrative. In telcos, Vodacom had a great period and Telkom has built on the success of last year. Look out for Exemplar REITail and Octodec in property, along with Omnia, PPC and Raubex from the "real" economy. Finally, Sibanye settled with Appian.

Ghost Bites (Barloworld | Capitec | SPAR)
Capitec remains South Africa's most impressive corporate story. At literally the opposite end of the spectrum, we find SPAR with poor growth and clearly no real idea how to fix it. Barloworld has waived the COMESA condition and the offer is now closing this month.

Ghost Bites (Blu Label | Choppies | KAL Group | MultiChoice | PPC | Renergen | York Timber)
Canal+ is in effective control of MultiChoice. Blu Label released full details for the Cell C listing, leading to plenty of differing opinions online. PPC's turnaround is working and even York Timber is looking better. Renergen has settled with Springbok Solar. Choppies is doing well in Botswana despite macroeconomic concerns. KAL Group is selling Agriplas.

Ghost Bites (Aspen | Blue Label | Curro | Exxaro | Octodec | Spur | WBHO)
There's no sign of recovery in the Aspen share price. Conversely, Blue Label just keeps aiming for the stars. Exxaro, Spur, Octodec and WBHO all had positive stories. Curro is suffering with a slow and steady decline in numbers.
